WHEN Cerys Hurtís mother and grandmother died of breast cancer, she wanted to see her own children grow up.
So she took the brave decision of having both her own healthy breasts removed in a bid to beat the disease in case she too had inherited their faulty gene.
Doctors tried to persuade her not to have the operation as there was no sign of breast cancer developing and she was only 35.
