THIS is the boy whose head is entirely made of METAL. Callum Parkinson was left fighting for his life after being knocked over by a car in June last year. Doctors had to remove both the left and right sides of his skull - leaving only the skin to protect his brain. They then rebuilt his entire skull using titanium plates and now brave Callum has made an amazing recovery. His mum Christine, 48, said: ‘It just seems unbelievable that Callum’s skull is now completely made of metal. ‘It was frightening when he just had the skin to protect his brain. It swelled so much that it caused the skin on the right side of his head to bulge outwards. [download copy]
