THIS is the boy who has managed to beat a brain tumour - despite being sent home SIX times by doctors.
Ben Sambrook’s mother Sharon was so concerned about her son’s ailing health that she repeatedly took him back to see six different doctors.
Despite him suffering from severe headaches and sickness, each time he was sent home with suggestions to take Calpol and even to eat a biscuit before bed.
It was only due to his mother’s persistence that Ben, now 11, was eventually referred for a scan which showed a large golf ball sized aggressive tumour at the front of his brain.
He had a six hour operation to remove the tumour, followed by six months of gruelling chemotherapy and has now made a full recovery, much to his parents relief.
A scan in March this year finally gave him the all clear and doctors have said there is no sign of the tumour coming back. [download copy]
