THESE are the sisters who were both born thanks to the YOLK of a HEN EGG. Their mother Suzanne Harper underwent a staggering twelve attempts at IVF to finally give birth to daughters Libby and Connie. Their extraordinary births were only made possible by an IVF technique, using the yolk extracted from a hen’s egg. It cost the couple nearly £40,000 to finally fulfill their dreams of having a family - but they say it has been worth every penny.

WHEN Gemma Martin looked at her wedding photo - it ended up saving her life. When she walked down the aisle weighing a staggering 34 stone, she was so huge that she was having problems breathing and walking. But it was only when she saw the wedding photo of herself - and dubbed herself one of the fattest brides in Britain - that she decided to take life saving action.

WHEN Lyndsay Hutchinson saw her sister battling with the crippling disorder anorexia she didn’t know how to help her. She had watched her younger sister Debbie Johnston’s weight plummet to a lifethreatening four stone on several occasions - and felt helpless to do anything to help her. But when she asked Debbie to be her bridesmaid at her wedding - it proved to be the best medicine that anyone could have given her. Debbie was determined that she wouldn’t ruin her sister’s wedding pictures by being shockingly thin - and it proved just the inspiration that she needed to get better. She managed to get up to a healthy weight to fulfill her role of bridesmaid - and has remained healthy ever since.

I was feeling dreadful. I’d woken up that morning feeling fine, but by lunchtime I was shivering violently and I felt sick. ‘I think I’ve got flu,’ I told my wife Fiona that afternoon. Fiona worked as a GP and as she was 35 weeks pregnant, I was meant to be going with her for a scan at the hospital later that day. But however much I wanted to see my unborn baby on the screen, I didn’t feel well enough to go. I told her that I felt ghastly and that I was going to go home to bed.

EXCLUSIVE BY LUCY LAING. THESE are the amazing twins - who were born EIGHT years APART. Jasmine and Simon Billington were conceived at the same time with sperm frozen but Jasmine was born in May 2005 and her ‘twin’ brother was born in May this year. As she cuddled her newborn brother in the hospital, Jasmine told her parents that she had waited such a long time for his arrival. Mrs Billington, 48, a nurse, said: ‘They are theoretically twins because they were conceived at the same time - even though I gave birth to them eight years apart.

Mum was so excited as she cradled her newborn daughter Rihanna. ‘Come and meet your new sister,’ she smiled at me and my sister Kayleigh, now 21. She sat on the sofa with her partner Dean Yates, and she looked so happy and contented, just like a new mum should do. She’d only been back from the hospital for a few hours after giving birth and Kayleigh and I were meeting our new baby sister for the first time.

I looked at my daughter Tilly. It was a lovely sunny afternoon and she was playing out in the garden, but she was swaying about all over the place when she ran. ‘She’s running to the right all the time,’ I said to my sister in law Natalie. ‘It’s as though she is drunk.’ But Tilly was only two years old. There had to be some other explanation.

WHEN Lorna Drewry saw a photograph of herself at a New Year’s Eve party, she was so horrified by her massive bulk that she has lost a staggering nine stone. When Lorna, 32, had got ready for the party she had been thrilled with her new blue flowery dress. But she hadn’t realised how massive she looked in it - until she saw the evidence of it a few days later. ‘I was so horrified when I saw that photograph,’ admitted Lorna, who lives in Sheffield. ‘I’d always struggled with my weight so I knew that I was big, but in that photograph I looked absolutely huge. ‘My dad looked at it when I was looking through Facebook and saw it too. He said I looked like Hattie Jakes, the character from the Carry On films, and I was mortified. I knew then that I had to do something about my weight.’ Loran had struggled with her weight since she left school but she says it never affected her confidence.

THESE are the sisters who have beaten massive odds to BOTH be born on CHRISTMAS DAY! Grace Simmonds stunned her parents when she made her arrival into the world on Christmas Day in 2009. But then their amazement was doubled - when her baby sister Scarlett was also born on Christmas Day last year. The sisters have beaten odds of 133,225 to be both born on the same day.

THESE are the three Christmas miracles - sent from heaven. Anna Mitchell tragically lost four babies and thought she would never be a mum. But when her own mother died, she left Anna some money in her will and she used it to pay for IVF treatment. Amazingly she found she was pregnant with not just one baby - but three. She gave birth to her triplet gifts from heaven in July - and the family are set to have their first ever Christmas together. Anna, 30, from Mansfield, who lives with husband Nick, said: ‘ We haven’t bothered decorating our house for years, as there was just the two of us and no children to fill it.
