It was such a special moment. I slipped my engagement ring onto my fourth finger and smiled at my husband John. But it wasn’t at the start of our romance - we had already been married 13 years. and I’d waited all that time to wear the special diamond ring. For one simple reason - I’d been too fat all those years to wear it. It had been handed to me by my nan before she died, but I could never get it on my finger. Instead for more than a decade it had lain in my jewellery box, and all I could do was to look at it from time to time, wishing that it would fit on my finger. But now after losing 11 stone - I can finally wear the ring with pride, just like my nan wanted me to all those years ago.

THESE are the twins who had to make a brave decision to have both their legs BROKEN. Georgie and Sophie, 15, were born with a rare form of rickets which meant that both their legs were bowed. But they made the bravest decision of all - to have their legs broken to straighten them, so that they could finally stand tall. The twins had their operations in December where surgeons had to break their legs in three places - and now have to spend six months with metal frames around their legs to encourage the bones to grow straight. Since the operation Georgie has grown an inch taller - and her twin Sophie has shot up an amazing three inches.

That was when I realised there was the possibility we could lose him and I broke down.’

WHEN doctors discovered Danielle Young was pregnant they were amazed. Mrs Young had been diagnosed with having two wombs - a rare condition that makes it difficult to carry a baby to full term. Furthermore one fallopian tube was completely blocked which means only one of her two wombs were functioning properly. So they were even more amazed when they made a second startling discovery - that she was pregnant with twins - one in EACH womb - in staggering odds of FIVE MILLION to one.

IT can usually be difficult to tell twins apart - but not this pair. The little girls don’t even look like sisters - let alone twins. Their amazing difference took the world by storm when they were born nearly seven years ago. Despite being conceived together in their mother’s womb and being born within a minute of each other, Kian Hodgson’s skin is black - yet her sister Remee is white. And now, just days before they reach their seventh birthday - the difference between them is still as staggering.
