AS mum Kate Illsley cuddles her baby daughter, she knows her birth is nothing short of a miracle. Miss Illsley suffered such severe injuries in a car crash that left her fighting for life, that she was only given a ten per cent chance of survival She suffered a fractured pelvis, collapsed lung, a ruptured bladder, and had to have part of her brain removed. She only managed to survive after 14 operations and was given 48 units of blood in life saving transfusions. After she recovered from the crash, doctors broke the devastating news to her that she wouldn’t be able to fall pregnant as her fallopian tubes had been blocked from scar tissue from the numerous operations she’d had to endure. But now she she has managed to give birth to her miracle daughter Halle after undergoing IVF treatment.

A brave toddler battling bone cancer who was hit by a hate campaign - has just won his battle with the disease. A scan this week showed Bernard Iliff had beaten the killer disease - after he was initially given just a ten per cent chance of survival. After they went public with their son’s plight, the family had their car torched outside their home and sick claims were posted on the internet that their brave three year old son was dead

WHEN Libby Gummerson fell pregnant she had good reason to expect that she would give birth to a baby boy. There hadn’t been a baby girl born in the family for more than 80 years spanning over three generations, so no-one thought tradition would be broken. Even when doctors told her she was pregnant with twins, the family expected the arrival of two more boys. The first twin was delivered and doctors told the couple it was a boy - but then the second arrival was an unexpected shock. THIS is the tragic mum who needs her FOURTH new heart - to try and survive to help her young daughter beat the SAME deadly disease. Donna Mansell suffers from cardiomyopathy - a genetic heart condition that killed her brother James at the age of 18 - and which she has passed to her daughter Leonie, seven. At the moment, Leonie’s condition is controlled by medication - but in the future she may face the same battle as her mother. Mrs Mansell, 26, has already had two successive heart transplants - and is currently waiting for her third donor heart. if she gets her transplant in time - she will be the only woman in the UK ever to have had four hearts. Mrs Dodd was struck down with a rare virus which attacked her brain when baby Charlotte was just eight months old. BEST friends do everything together - but Hannah King and Paola Campari-Moss more than most. The firm friends have just given birth to their daughters on the same day - for the second time. The pair first met in Salisbury Hospital nearly four years ago when they had gone into labour with their first babies. They gave birth at the same time and bonded on the ward as they got to know their new arrivals. After leaving hospital they remained best friends - and were thrilled when they fell pregnant at the same time. They never expected to repeat the double delivery as the babies were due 17 days apart. But amazingly, both their second daughters made their arrival into the world last month, on exactly the same day.
