WHEN Sara Churm was pregnant with her third baby she was desperate for a water birth. But when she asked her midwife about the possibility of using a birthing pool at the hospital, she was met with a chuckle. The midwife told her that due to the speed of her previous two deliveries, there would not even be time to fill up the birthing pool - as she had delivered her first baby in 21 minutes and her second in just 16 minutes. And the prediction proved right - as Miss Churm went on to delivery her baby Declan in just 50 minutes. It meant that she has given birth to all three of her babies - in a total of just 87 MINUTES.

I couldn’t believe it as I looked at the computer screen in horror. There was a picture of me from when I had been out clubbing with my friends the night before that had been posted on a clubbing website. The picture had been taken by a stranger, and it showed me, with all my 19 stone bulk, larger than life in an illuminious green clubbing outfit. I looked full of life, grinning at the camera, but it was the comments underneath that were so hurtful. ‘Yuk’ said one, referring to my photograph. ‘’Jabba the Hut,’ said another. Jabba the Hut?

‘I wish I could fly - just like Spiderman,’ my son Aiden would say to me, day after day. He just really wanted to be like his ultimate hero ‘Spidey’ as free as bird, leaping from building to building, saving everyone. But Aiden had been born with just half a heart and was extremely poorly. Being like Spiderman was just a dream to him.

WHEN Rosie Mychajlow made the startling discovery at the age of 17 that her father wasn’t her real father, it sparked an amazing battle to find him which lasted 35 years. Rosie eventually found him half way across the world in Canada - and she found him just in the nick of time. Her father Alfie had been given just a year to live after being diagnosed with cancer, but his daughter finding him has proved to have been the best medicine for Alfie - as two years after his first meeting with Rosie, he is still alive and fighting. Rosie, 54, who works as a vocational skills tutor, and lives in Derby with her partner Tony, 47, daughter Stephanie, 21, and son Toby, 18, said: ‘It was the most amazing moment when I met my dad for the same time. ‘A family member had told me that he had been given just a year to live, so I found him just in time. But he is still alive now a few years later, so I think it was the best tonic for him. It has given him a reason to keep living.’ Rosie spent the first 17 years of her life thinking that her stepfather John was her real father. It wasn’t until she applied for a job at the age of 17 and she needed a copy of her birth certificate for a reference that the truth came to light.
