I held my newborn son Nathan in my arms and suddenly an overwhelming urge came over me. I wanted to drop my son from my arms and send him crashing to the floor. It was like a war of words going around in my head. ‘Drop the baby, then it will all be over,’ said one voice. But then another small voice in the back of my mind telling me that this was my baby and I couldn’t do that. I’d been depressed ever since Nathan’s birth and over the months it had been getting worse and worse. I had felt suicidal and thought about taking my own life, but this was the first time that I had felt that about my baby, that I wanted to harm him. ‘I need help,’ I sobbed to my partner Francis. ‘I wanted to drop Nathan on the floor so I didn’t have to be a mum to him anymore,’ ( smith )

I blearily opened my eyes and just stared in shock. There was my husband Gavin wrestling with two men on our hotel balcony. As I watched in horror, unable to move from the bed, one of the men hurled themselves over the balcony and over the 15 ft drop, and then Gavin managed to push the other one over too.. Gavin came staggering back into the room. Blood was pouring from his nose onto his t-shirt. ( sheedy )

THIS little blond haired angel amazingly only has HALF a heart. Little Aimee Haswall was born with just half a working heart and doctors gave her parents a heartbreaking decision - either take her home to die or have a risky operation to try and replumb her heart. So parents Lisa and Steven, 34, made the brave decision to let their daughter go under the knife and have it replumbed. Surgeons managed to perform the risky operation and now little Aimee runs around her garden with just half a heart. Mum Lisa, 35, said: ‘It is amazing. When we look at running around we can’t believe she just has half a heart.

My husband Joe came out of the shower one morning and he was holding his manhood in his hand. ‘Look at this,’ he said to me, thrusting it towards me. I thought he may have been after a bit of action, but his face was worried. So I looked down. His manhood had a small lump at the end of it. I was a nurse and I hadn’t seen anything like it before, so I wasn’t worried. It didn’t look anything to panic about. ‘I’m sure its nothing,’ I reassurred Joe. He told me it had been there for six months. He’d first noticed it when we lived in Scotland in the spring of 2004. But he’d hoped it would just go away.

I couldn’t believe what the doctor was saying. I was allergic to my own husband - surely that couldn’t be right. We’d been married for years, how could I possibly be allergic to him. But it was true. I’d lost eight babies, one by one and my husband Paul and I had wanted some answers to our heartbreak. We wanted to know why I’d lost all these precious babies. So we went to see a doctor in London. Tests showed that I was allergic to Paul’s DNA. When I became pregnant and the embryo implanted in my womb, my body immediately rejected it. ( TWO PICTURES AVAILABLE WITH THIS STORY) It seemed hard to believe - but I actually was allergic to my own husband.

THESE are the first pictures of the record breaking baby who was created from sperm frozen from her father for an amazing NINETEEN years. Emmanual and Zoe Iyoha are celebrating the birth of 7Ib6 Ella Patience after fertility treatment using sperm that was frozen in 1989. As Emmanuel cuddles his new daughter he says he is ‘just amazed at the power of science.’ When Emmanuel was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 27 his only thoughts were of his survival. It was only when a nurse persuaded him to have his sperm frozen before having chemotherapy treatment that he decided to take action to help him try for a family in the future. Emmanuel, an IT support engineer, made national headlines two years ago when his wife Zoe gave birth to the couple’s daughter Poppy - 17 years after his sperm was frozen. Emmanuel, 47, who lives in Stockport, said: ‘Everytime I think about how long it has been since my sperm was first frozen I am just amazed. ‘It just seems incredible that something that was frozen so long ago can help create my family now, nearly two decades later.’ ( iyoha )

It has taken a staggering SEVEN attempts at IVF treatment and a cost of £20,000 for the couple to finally bring home their double bundle of joy. After a four month struggle for survival in hospital, which saw one of the twins undergoing a lifesaving operation, the couple have finally been able to bring the twins home.

But now bells were ringing in my head. Could this possibly be the very same Jonathon whom I’d written those love letters to, all those years ago. I tried to get my man all those years ago, and it took me 20 years to get him down the aisle. ( blackwell )

WHEN Nadine Walters suffered from cancer twice, doctors told her that it was unlikely she would ever be a mother. She undewent gruelling chemotherapy treatment from the age of 12 through to 18 to battle both Ewing’s sarcoma, and then leukaemia - and at one point was given just three weeks to live. She managed to survive, but then she was told that six years of intensive treatment would have left her infertile. Mrs Walters resigned herself to never being a mother - but amazingly against all the odds she fell pregnant with naturally conceived twins and doctors told her that they had never come across such a miracle before. But then she was told that one of her twins could die in the womb and she was given the choice to terminate him and let his brother survive. But she was determined to give both her little miracles the chance of survival and refused a termination - and now she is the proud mum of both boys.
